Series: Elite Guardians-Book 1
Summary on back cover:
When it becomes clear that popular psychiatrist and radio personality Wade Savage has a stalker, his father secretly hires Elite Guardians in order to protect his son.
But when Wade’s bodyguard is attacked and nearly killed, agency owner Olivia Edwards must step in and fill the gap. Olivia’s skills are about to be tested to the limit as Wade’s stalker moves from leaving innocent gifts at his door to threatening those closest to him--including Olivia. But in her mind, even more dangerous then the threats to her life is the hold her handsome client has on her heart.
I was hesitant to review this book because I didn’t like it and it’s a much better experience when you review books you love. I love Lynette Eason, which is another reason that I was disappointed.
Ok… Here goes…
The storyline is about Olivia Edwards who is hired to protect Wade, a radio talk show host who has been getting strange threats. The organization that Olivia created is an all-woman agency. This I don’t understand. Is this trying to push some kind of feminism? If so, shouldn’t men be allowed in it. You know, equal rights and all? The whole series is about these woman, while I haven’t read any others in this series I am 90% sure that that they all fall in love with their clients, which is very unprofessional in and of itself. I was very unimpressed with her and her group.
I’m sorry if I’m spoiling anything for you, but Olivia never even stops Wade from getting into really dangerous situations. She didn’t even do her job. I guess she kept him alive but just barely.
Honestly, Lynette Eason was one of my favorite authors. I really didn’t want to dislike it, but I can’t help it. I have bought every single one of her books but I will not be purchasing Without Warning (the next book in this series). I really hope her next series is better.
