Review

After I read Vendetta I was really excited for Missing to come out. Especially after I saw the cover…...Amazing!! I know, I know “don’t judge a book by its cover”. Anyway, I was curious as to how Lisa Harris was going to pull the trilogy off, and if she was going to do it well.  As far as the storyline goes, I was kind of let down. I feel like if I read the first book, then the third book that’s coming out next year, I would not have missed anything. Let me put it another way.  The first book had no correlation to the second, except for the same characters.  It’s kind of like Missing was about Nikki Boyd's life on the Missing Person Task Force as she solved another case. By no means was it boring, I just felt there was no need for the second book.  I would have been happier if she only made two books and then made them longer and went into more detail. It seems like she’s focusing too much on the story and not on the background and characters.

Now all that aside, it was a very entertaining book. It definitely has some of the same qualities as Vendetta: very fast paced, similar in style, so on and so forth.  So if you like the first book in the Nikki Boyd Files series, then I think you will find Missing intriguing. I have to say I am super pumped for the third book, Pursued, that is coming out spring of next year. Missing was differently worth the read and buy.

God Bless,

Leah
