Summary on back cover:

When her prodigal brother's returns to Yancey, Alaska, is shattered by his arrest for murder, Piper McKenna is determined to protect him.

Deputy Landon Grainger loves the McKennas like family, but he's also sworn to find the truth. And he knows those closest to you have the power to deceive you the most. With his sheriff pushing for a quick conviction, some unexpected leads complicate the investigation, and pursuing the truth puts Landon's career in jeopardy.

When Piper launches her own investigation, Landon realizes he must protect her from herself- and from whatever complications awaits as the two follow clues deep into Canada's rugged backcountry. Not only does their long friendship seem to be turning into something more, but this dangerous case is becoming deadlier with each step.

Review

If you ever wonder why I’m tough on books it’s because of this one.  This book is so amazing that it makes all the other books I’ve read seem… not so great. I have only good words to say about this book. It makes you want to move to Alaska right away and join the McKennas. This isn’t really a suspense book, rather an adventure and mystery. Kathleen, another member of the Inkwell Review team, doesn’t really like any type of suspense, yet she loved this book. I love the atmosphere of this book. Its very family oriented. All of the siblings are so close and so uplifting to read about. I can’t believe what a short review this is, but there’s nothing more to say except  READ IT!

Hope this helps,

 Rachelle
